Rates: Canoe rental for a day trip from Lake Whitney
dam to Dick's Place. (This is an 8.4 mile trip, with a 5 to 6
hour duration.)
- Canoe/Double Kayak ......... $95 tax included
- Small Single Kayak ......... $65 tax included
- Fishing Kayak ......... $70 tax included
- Price includes - 2 life vests, 2 paddles & kayaks shuttled to the dam*
- Flat shuttle fee of $50 for groups with less than four kayaks
Hours of operation: 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. *Must have your own transportation to dropoff and pickup location

Important Information: It is the customer's responsibility
to load and unload the canoe from the canoe trailer. All
equipment must be returned to Dick's Place by time of
closing (7:00 P.M.) or an additional day will be charged.

Reservations are required.
Contact Dick's
Place during business hours at 254-733-7306 for
reservations. A $20 deposit is charged per canoe to
reserve the canoe and serve as a damage deposit. Deposits
are refunded only when all equipment is rented and returned
in satisfactory condition.
All rental fees are due prior to receipt of canoes and
equipment.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations acknowledged fifteen or
more days prior to scheduled pick up date, will receive 100%
refund or rescheduling. Cancellations acknowledged between
14 and 7 days before scheduled pick up will receive a 50%
refund or be issued a rain check to be used at a later date.
Refunds and/or rain checks are not issued for reservations
cancelled less than 7 days prior to scheduled pick up.
No refunds are given after canoes have been contracted for
and taken out regardless of the weather.
Location:
We are conveniently located on Hwy 2114 south of
the Dallas, Fort Worth area. From Dallas go south on I 35-E
to West, Texas and exit right on 2114. We are on the right
immediately after crossing the Brazos River. (approximately
12 miles west of West)
Distance from major cities ... 80 miles south of Dallas, 30
miles north of Waco, 175 miles north of Austin, 220 miles
from Houston, and 270 miles from San Antonio. |
