Pick up your
canoe at Dick's and we will provide a shuttle to the put
in location just below Lake Whitney dam. Then spend the day
paddling, exploring, swimming, fishing, and relaxing as you
make your way down stream.
This trip will take anywhere from five to six hours (or
possibly more) depending on water conditions, your paddling
muscle condition, and how much playing you do along the way.
Be sure to take along plenty of nice cold drinks (including
lots of water), a good lunch, a quality sunscreen, and your
fishing gear. And if you have one, bring along your water
proof camera (or buy one of those cheap disposable things).
There will be plenty of opportunities for fun action shots,
river wildlife and scenery.
